The Buffalo Bills haven’t been the best team at protecting quarterback Josh Allen so far this season. But the year is young and there’s still certainly time to adjust.
Doing so against the Washington Football Team might be a tough ask, though. According NFL Next Gen Stats, the Football Team know how to get after an opposing quarterback.
Per their records, last week week against the New York Giants, Washington recorded a QB pressure on almost half of their possible snaps on defense:
The Washington pass rush pressured Daniel Jones 17 times on 36 dropbacks (47.2% team pressure rate), led by Montez Sweat (@_sweat9) who finished with a career-high 7 QB pressures.#NYGvsWAS | #WashingtonFootball pic.twitter.com/5eWhKu2nE9

A talented front, the Bills have several players to worry about. The Bills’ season-opening loss to the Steelers involved a lot of players rushing in on Allen.
In Week 2 things were better, but not fully. According to Pro Football Focus, the Bills allowed 12 QB pressures against the Miami Dolphins. Allen was also sacked once and hit eight times in the outing.
More of the same might be en route against Washington, but Buffalo will do their best to avoid that.
