Prediction

Blue Jays 6, Yankees 4

Moneyline (ML)

The BLUE JAYS (-115) are the pick again for Game 2 following Monday’s impressive 5-run margin of victory. Toronto has another advantage in the starting pitching matchup with Walker making his third start since being acquired. The Yankees (+105) are slight underdogs with the struggling Happ on the hill.

The Jays rang up 10 runs (9 earned) against Yankees RPs Chad Green and Adam Ottavino in the sixth inning Monday to erase a 6-2 deficit. The New York bats got to Blue Jays SP Hyun-Jin Ryu for 5 earned runs over 5 innings Monday, but were able to add just two runs against a Toronto bullpen ranked eighth in baseball with a 3.95 group ERA.

It was the first meeting of the season between the two as the Jays extended their lead on second place in the AL East, despite placing home run-leader Hernandez on the injured list.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

Double dip with the BLUE JAYS -1.5 (+165) on the alternate run line, where they’ll need to win by 2 or more runs for a bet to cash. The Yankees have dropped seven of their last nine games with all seven losses decided by a margin of two or more runs.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take the UNDER 10.5 (-110) on a number inflated by Monday’s robust total of 19 runs. It was Toronto’s third straight game playing into a double-digit run total, but the offense is overachieving based on current injuries.
