New York Mets at Baltimore Orioles odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Mets at Baltimore Orioles odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Mets (50-60) and the Baltimore Orioles (69-42) wrap up a 3-game interleague series Sunday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET (MLB Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Mets vs. Orioles odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Orioles lead 2-0

The Mets have had a disappointing season and were obvious sellers at the MLB trade deadline. Since flipping the calendar from July to August, the Mets have dropped 5 in a row, including a sweep on the road against the lowly Kansas City Royals from Tuesday-Thurdsay. New York has been outscored 37-14 in the 5-game skid.

The Orioles have won the first 2 games of this series, outscoring the Mets 17-6 with the Over connecting in each outing. Baltimore, unlike New York, is red hot with 5 wins over its last 6 games. The O’s have outscored the competition 37-16 in that span.

Mets at Orioles picks and predictions

Prediction

Orioles 4, Mets 3

Moneyline

The ORIOLES (-175) are moderate favorites, but they’re also a good bet to win the finale and complete the sweep.

Quintana has been effective since making his debut for the Mets on July 20, allowing 3 or fewer runs while pitching 5 or more innings in each of his outings. However, the veteran will be outshined by Bradish and the O’s in this matinee affair.

Run line/Against the spread

The METS +1.5 (-135) are worth a look on the run line, as the final game of the series should be the closest. Bradish has pitched well this season, especially at home, but the veteran Quintana has been tremendous since making his debut 3 starts ago.

Over/Under

UNDER 9 (-120) might be the best play on the board.

The Under has cashed in 2 of 3 starts for Quintana so far and is 6-4-1 in the past 11 games with Bradish on the hill for the Orioles.

The Over is 4-0 in the past 4 games at home for Baltimore, so there is some risk here. But these hurlers should keep scores down.
