The New Orleans Pelicans (25-31) visit the New York Knicks (30-27) Sunday at Madison Square Garden at 1 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Pelicans-Knicks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.
The Pelicans are coming off a 117-115 overtime loss at the Washington Wizards Friday to kick off this short two-game road trip. In their last home game, they were dropped 116-106 by the Knicks, failing to cover as 2-point favorites. The Pellies haven’t failed to cover in three in a row since March 3-11.
The Knicks topped old buddy C Kristaps Porzingis and the Mavericks in Dallas 117-109 Friday. It was the Knicks’ fifth consecutive win and – more importantly to us – their eighth cover in a row.

The KNICKS (-140) are a solid value at this price and you needn’t worry about covering the spread. They are on a five-game heater, including a win in New Orleans Wednesday by 10 points.

Against the spread (ATS)
The KNICKS -2.5 (-110) are on an eight-game cover streak, last failing to cover at MSG in a low-scoring 99-86 loss to the Mavericks April 2. New York is also 13-3 ATS across the past 16 games as a home favorite, and 23-8-1 ATS over the previous 32 games overall.
The Pelicans, on the other hand, have failed to cover in four straight on the road, and they’re 2-5 ATS in the past seven games overall.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 219.5 (-110) is the way to go here. These teams just hit the Over on Wednesday in the Crescent City.
The Over is 23-9 in the past 32 for the Pels when playing on a day of rest. The Over is also 4-1 in New York’s past five overall, and 4-1 in the past five against losing teams.
