New Auburn record prediction doesn’t look kindly on Tigers

Do you think the Tigers will go bowling this year?

The rough predictions for Auburn haven’t stopped as the season draws nearer.

A new predictions article from ESPN, which outlines predictions for each Power 5 conference, predicted that the Tigers would go 5-7 and finish at the very bottom of the SEC West. What’s more, the article’s “hot seat” pick went to coach [autotag]Bryan Harsin[/autotag].

The suggestion that the Tigers will miss out on a bowl game has not been an uncommon one this offseason, and the suggestion that Harsin may be on his way out has been a general consensus among most writers and pundits in the college football world. Paired with a very tough schedule for Auburn that features the likes of LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M (paired with longtime rivals Alabama and Georgia), the idea that the Tigers may not go bowling in 2022 is unfortunately not a crazy one.

That being said, Auburn also has a lot to prove this year and could have a stronger roster than many realize. With the attempted coup on Bryan Harsin being described as a unifying experience by many, it’s also quite possible that Auburn could surprise some people heading into the 2022 season.
