As the most anticipated non-conference game of 2024 gets closer, college football analysts and experts are going to start forecasting the outcome of the Texas Longhorns at Michigan Wolverines game. Some will be wishy-washy. Some will be emphatic.
Mark former UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel down as emphatic. Neuheisel, who also held the head coaching job at Colorado and Washington, thinks Texas is going to roll over the Wolverines.
“They’re not only gonna win, they’re gonna whip’em. Texas is that much faster. They’ve shown they’re physical. They held Colorado State to less than 200 yards. It’s not going to be a close game.” — Rich Neuheisel
The former UCLA QB, who now works at CBS Sports, thinks the game will be a spectacle.
“The pomp and circumstance of this game is gonna be off the charts. We’re going to have a complete party before the game because of the two brands doing battle. But what’s happening at Texas is what happened in Athens. Kirby Smart built ‘Alabama’ in Athens. Steve Sarkisian is building ‘Alabama’ in Austin.” — Rich Neuheisel

“I can tell you that this is a mismatch. And the way Sark has built them, with the mindset, is exactly what Kirby has done. They borrowed it from the GOAT (Nick Saban) and now it’s being laid out and these guys are going about their business.” — Rich Neuheisel
