Brooklyn Nets guard Seth Curry has been one of the veteran voices for the Nets even amidst the roster changes from before the NBA trade deadline to after. Throughout all of the changes, Curry’s role as a scorer off the bench has remained the same.
In Tuesday’s 121-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Curry had eight points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 shooting from behind the three-point line. In so many games this season, Curry has been the steadying presence of the bench to provide a scoring lift when the team is struggling to score as a whole.
Curiously, Curry played just 19 minutes in a game where Brooklyn struggled to score for most of the second half and that may have cost them the game. However, despite the disappointing loss to the Thunder, Brooklyn finished their five-game road trip with a 3-2 record and are still in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended today. Curry gave his take on how he’s looking at the road trip as a whole:
“Just more games, more reps, just playing with each other and going on the road and get some quality NBA teams leaving the road trip with over 500 record is a mission success. So, for the most part, did a good job on the road. Now, it’s time to go home and take care of business.”
