Nets reaction: Short-handed Nets fall to the best in the West

With no Harden, Irving or Durant, the Nets fell to the Jazz on Wednesday.

The Brooklyn Nets finished the second half of a back-to-back against the league’s best, record-wise, the Utah Jazz. The Nets entered the game with their backs against the walls before the tipoff even commenced. James Harden, who strengthened his case for MVP with a signature performance Tuesday night, was ruled out with neck soreness hours before the game.

This only added on to the roster troubles for Brooklyn, as Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Landry Shamet, and Blake Griffin were all out. Donovan Mitchell came out shooting extremely efficiently as his Jazz pushed themselves to a 25 point lead at the half.

Utah continued to dominate throughout the second half. It was no contest at all as the Jazz cruised to the victory 118-88 led by Mitchell’s 27 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds.
