Nets don’t feel urgency to pursuit Donovan Mitchell trade

Reports indicate that the Brooklyn Nets are interested in disgruntled guard Donovan Mitchell, but they aren’t in a rush.

Basketball insider Ian Begley of SNY reports that Brooklyn actually still has interest in the disgruntled Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell. Begley reported that new teams had interest in the Jazz player, “Several teams, including the Nets and Miami Heat.”

But according to Begley, the franchise is committed to keeping the roster the way it is right now, with Kevin Durant. Begley continued, “But some members of the Nets organization like where the roster is at the moment and don’t feel a sense or urgency to pursue Mitchell.”

As the regular quickly draws near, the Nets are running out of time to put together a roster that can make a deep-playoff push. Brooklyn is clearly showing their commitment to support Durant and to bring winning to the franchise.

Brooklyn’s already moved forward with signing free agents, but Mitchell could definitely stay on the team’s radar if relations become complex again.
