Nets’ Dariq Whitehead getting up shots at practice facility

Brooklyn Nets guard Dariq Whitehead was recently pictured taking jumpshots in a show of how well his foot rehab has been going.

Brooklyn Nets guard Dariq Whitehead is one of the more interesting prospects taken in the 2023 NBA Draft due to the unknown of how his recent foot injuries will affect the rest of his career. For now, it looks like the recovery from his most recent foot surgery is going well.

In a post by NetsKingdom on X, formerly known as Twitter, Whitehead is pictured taking jumpshots at what appears to be the Nets practice facility. This implies that Whitehead’s rehab has not suffered any setbacks and that the possibility that he’s ready for training camp in October is only increasing.

Whitehead, 19, was selected by Brooklyn with the 22nd overall pick out of Duke, but needed foot surgery on Jun. 7 to further address his foot issue, hopefully once and for all. From everything that has been reported since Whitehead had his most recent surgery, it looks like the Nets should have him participating in training camp, even if it’s in a limited capacity.
