The Brooklyn Nets have a lot to look forward next season as they will try to get back to the playoffs and achieve more than they did last season as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. One player that everyone is excited to see next season Nets guard Ben Simmons.

According to Ethan Sears of the New York Post, Brooklyn forward Cam Johnson is one of a long list of people associated with the organization that is interested to see what Simmons looks like next season assuming that he is as healthy as recent reports have indicated. In a recent report by Marc J. Spears of ESPN and Andscape, someone close to Simmons told him that the former first overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft is the healthiest that he has been since his team with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Johnson, fresh off signing a four-year, $94.5 million contract with the Nets this summer, has high expectations for himself as well for the next few years. He, along with Mikal Bridges, will try to lead Brooklyn back to winning ways and postseason success. Here’s what Johnson had to say about Simmons’ health after practice on Friday with Team USA:

“He (Simmons) sounds good. He’s in a good place. He says it’s progressing and he’s excited for the season. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table this year. I expect him to be, if not full form, pretty close to it.”
