Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson has some elevated expectations for what his play will be like moving forward now that he has his new contract. However, even with those expectations, there is one outlet who believes that Johnson will not be as high on the top players list like some think.
In a recent article by CBS Sports, in which the website released their top-100 player list for the 2023-24 season, Johnson was not ranked on the list. As the beginning of the article points out, it is a “futures” list, meaning the list is how they anticipate the players ranking once the 2023-24 season is over.
What is interesting to point out is that the list does not have an honorable mention section so it’s tough to figure out how high CBS Sports regards Johnson. Also, it’s interesting to see how differently Johnson is viewed within the NBA space given that Bleacher Report ranked him 67th on their top-100 player list.
