Nets assign Dzanan Musa to Long Island

The Brooklyn Nets are back to practice on Tuesday, though Dzanan Musa will be working with the team’s G League affiliate.

Prior to the Brooklyn Nets’ first practice of the post-NBA All-Star break portion of their schedule, the team assigned Dzanan Musa to the team’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

Musa has played in four games for Long Island throughout the 2019-20 season. In those few appearances, he’s averaged 23 points per game on 59.3% shooting (37.5% from 3-point territory). Musa is also averaging 6.8 rebounds while playing 28 minutes per game for Long Island.

At the NBA level, the 20-year-old wing has played in 35 games for Brooklyn in 2019-20, though he’s only averaging 11.5 minutes per appearance. Musa has averaged 4.2 points per game on 36% shooting (23.1% from long-range). He has not taken the floor in a game for the Nets over their last three contests.

Long Island’s next game is on Friday against the Lakeland Magic, Orlando’s G League affiliate. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and the game will be available to watch on NBAGLeague.com.
