Neemias Queta made his impact felt for the Boston Celtics

The absence of Porzingis forced Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla to experiment with lineups to Queta’s great benefit.

In a contest marked by unexpected lineup changes due to injury for both the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks, the Celtics managed to secure a 113-103 victory. Despite missing key players like star big man Kristaps Porzingis and veteran floor general Jrue Holiday, Boston showed off several impressive performances from unexpected contributors, namely 6-foot-8 reserve guard Dalano Banton and two way big man Neemias Queta for the Celtics.

The absence of Porzingis, expected to last at least a week due to a calf strain, forced Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla to experiment with lineups, providing opportunities for players normally lower in the rotation. Queta, in particular, shone with a career-high 10 rebounds.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast weighed in on the Portuguese center’s career night on a recent episode.

Check it out above in lieu of his play in Chicago on Tuesday, Queta weirdly assigned to the Maine Celtics after such an outing.
