The Nebraska women’s basketball team continues its recruiting by venturing to a neighboring state and offering a rising star. Jenica Lewis, a sophomore from Grimes, Iowa, announced on Twitter that she received an offer from the Huskers following a visit.

Lewis is entering her sophomore year at Johnston High School after coming off a stellar freshman year. Lewis led the Dragons finished the season with a 24-2 record and a state runner-up finish, falling to Pleasant Valley 59-56.

But even before entering high school, Lewis was being noticed by numerous schools for her performance on the court. By the time she reached high school, she had received nearly 20 offers from Division I schools. She can play almost any position on the court, as she lists herself as a point guard, shooting guard, and center.
