When Aidan Hutchinson recorded his first career interception in Sunday’s win over the Green Bay Packers, he joined some pretty elite company in Lions lore. Only Ndamukong Suh has ever recorded at least 4.5 sacks and an interception as a Detroit rookie.
Suh wound up having an outstanding career with the Lions before controversially leaving as a free agent when then-GM Martin Mayhew, heavily impacted by salary cap problems, didn’t re-sign the All-Pro defensive tackle. FOX Sports reporter Carmen Vitali let Suh know that his rookie feat has been matched.
hey @NdamukongSuh whatcha think of the kid? https://t.co/KsmwPAe9mf

The No. 2 pick in the 2010 NFL draft is quite impressed with the No. 2 pick in 2022 already, and he had a message for the new Lions management:
Hopefully the GM and ownership are smart enough to build around him đź‘€!

Suh is currently unsigned and has not played in 2022. The 35-year-old has rebuffed overtures from several NFL teams to sign this season.
