No. 4 national seed Tennessee (46-8, 19-5 SEC) defeated Indiana (43-17, 18-5 Big Ten), 9-1 in five innings, Saturday in the NCAA Tournament Knoxville Regional at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

The contest that was delayed 5 hours, 14 minutes due to inclement weather.

The Hoosiers led, 1-0, in the first inning after Taryn Kern hit a solo home run.

The Lady Vols scored three runs in the first inning. Kiki Milloy and Mackenzie Donihoo hit home runs for Tennessee.

Milloy hit her second home run in the second inning, extending Tennessee’s lead to 5-1.

The Lady Vols scored four runs with two outs in the fourth inning after Rylee West hit a grand slam.

Ashley Rogers (17-1) pitched a complete game for Tennessee, allowing two hits, one run and three walks, while recording five strikeouts.

Tennessee will next play Sunday at 4:35 p.m. EDT in the Knoxville Regional championship game.
