NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors securing first win of season on road vs. Kings, 122-114

After Steph Curry dropped 41 points against the Kings to secure the Warriors’ first win of the season, NBA Twitter chimed in with reactions.

After struggling to find a win on the road throughout the 2022-23 season, the Golden State Warriors didn’t wait long to register a win in the away column for the new 2023-24 campaign.

In their first chance to secure a win away from San Francisco’s Chase Center, Steph Curry and the Warriors took advantage. After weathering a late run from De’Aaron Fox, the Warriors squeaked out a 122-114 win over the Sacramento Kings in a playoff rematch from last season.

Fox tallied 20 of his team-high 39 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too late to catch Curry and the Warriors on Friday night. Curry led the Warriors with a game-high 41 points on 14-of-19 shooting from the floor to go along with seven triples against the Kings. With the Kings threatening late, Curry hit a dagger triple to put a bow on a thrilling performance.

The Warriors built their lead with a 39-27 third quarter effort lead by Chris Paul. The veteran point guard tallied 10 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field to go along with 12 assists, three steals and two boards in 33 minutes.

After the Warriors moved to 1-1 on the season, NBA Twitter chimed in with a flurry of different responses. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Friday night.
