NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors dropping tight loss to Trail Blazers, 125-122

Damian Lillard notched a triple-double with 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds on the way to handing the Warriors a tight loss, 125-122.

After a tight back-and-forth battle, the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers were tied at 95 points after three quarters on Wednesday night’s contest. 

Despite forcing six turnovers in the fourth quarter, the Warriors struggled to close down the stretch again against the Trail Blazers. After the Blazers took a three-point lead with 4:31 remaining in the contest, the Warriors’ offense went ice cold until there were only 48 seconds left in the game. Donte DiVincenzo and Klay Thompson hit late 3-pointers in the final seconds, but it was too late. Portland’s late run helped seal a 125-122 victory over Golden State. 

Jordan Poole led the way with a game-high 38 points on 13-of-25 shooting from the field with 13-of-25 shooting from the field with seven made triples to go along with seven assists and a rebound in 35 minutes. 

On his 33rd birthday, Thompson tallied 31 points on 12-of-28 shooting from the floor with five assists and three rebounds in 38 minutes.
