NBA Twitter reacts to Nets’ disappointing loss to the 76ers

Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Nets’ disappointing loss on Saturday to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Brooklyn Nets welcomed the Philadelphia 76ers to Barclays Center on Saturday and lost 101-98. Philadelphia now leads the regular-season series 3-0.

For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 23 points and six rebounds while Joe Harris had 18 points off the bench. Cam Thomas had 14 points off the bench and Cam Johnson had 12 points.

For the 76ers, Joel Embiid had 37 points and 13 rebounds while James Harden had 29 points and six assists. Tyrese Maxey had 12 points off the bench and Jalen McDaniels had five points.

In James Harden’s first game at Barclays Center since he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, he was met with a cascade of boos. In the first half, Brooklyn did what people expected in terms of being able to lock down and play suffocating defense which helped them build the eight point lead going into halftime.

More of the same happened in the third quarter as the Nets started to cool off from behind the three-point line. However, in the fourth quarter, it looked like the Nets lack of a star hurt them in the end as they had trouble creating offense down the stretch and the 76ers took advantage of that.
