Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James once had a 1-of-8 clip from downtown in the fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings.
His legs looked out of gas because his shot just didn’t have enough juice to it. It was shaping up to be a rare bad game from the 37-year-old star, who has been on an incredible tear lately.
But, moments later, he showed why he has been labeled “The King” for 19 years.
James hit his next two attempts from downtown, made easy layups to cut into the deficit and put the cherry on top with a clutch and-1 basket in the final minute, despite missing the free throw. He scored 14 of his 31 points in the fourth.
