With the Los Angeles Lakers playing the second half of a back-to-back set of games on Monday, some might have expected LeBron James to look a bit tired or to take it easy to preserve his body.
Instead, he turned things up to a higher gear and had one of his best statistical performances this season, scoring 48 points on 16-of-26 shooting. He also came close to a triple-double with nine assists and eight rebounds.
It’s a good thing James went off because the Lakers needed every bit of his electricity to overcome the Houston Rockets, 140-132.
Across Twitter, the NBA community marveled at yet another big game from him in his 20th season.
