NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid, Sixers knocking off Cavs before break

NBA Twitter gives its reactions as Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers before the All-Star break.

The Philadelphia 76ers knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers, 118-112, on Wednesday. Despite the Sixers leading by as many as 28, Cleveland fought back, pulling within four, 112-108, with 1:30 left. However, the Sixers closed the game from there and improved to 38-19 at the All-Star break.

Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 29 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. He scored almost at will against the Cavs’ Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, two very strong defensive bigs.

James Harden had another nice night with 19 points and 12 assists.  De’Anthony Melton had 17 points and Tyrese Maxey added 16. Tobias Harris contributed 13, and PJ Tucker finished with 10. It was a needed all-around night for Philadelphia.
