The Philadelphia 76ers picked up one wild win in Indianapolis on Monday night when they got into a shootout with the Indiana Pacers. Philadelphia overcame a hot shooting performance by the Pacers and won, 147-143, to improve to 3-1 on this five-game road trip.
James Harden had a terrific game as a playmaker. Though he had only 14 points, he contributed 20 assists and nine rebounds. The Beard was terrific all night, and Philadelphia benefited from his elite passing and point guard skills.
Along with Harden’s huge night, the Sixers received 42 points out of Joel Embiid and 24 points from Tyrese Maxey. Also, Jalen McDaniels stepped in for an injured Tobias Harris and PJ Tucker and contributed 20 points and eight rebounds. That helped overcome 40 points and 16 assists from Indiana star Tyrese Haliburton.
