NBA Twitter reacts to Jaden Springer, Sixers upsetting Hawks in overtime

NBA Twitter reacts to Jaden Springer and the Philadelphia 76ers knocking off the Atlanta Hawks on the road in overtime.

The Philadelphia 76ers visited State Farm Arena on Friday just looking to play out the string. This was a meaningless game because they are already locked into the No. 3 seed. They sat their top six players, but they weren’t going to just lay down.

Philadelphia prevailed, 136-131, in overtime thanks to a strong effort from their bench unit and young players. Jalen McDaniels had 24 points and 11 rebounds while Georges Niang had 24 points and six rebounds, but second-year guard Jaden Springer stole the show with 19 points and he made clutch plays to force overtime.

He made two game-tying shots and he then played excellent defense on Hawks star Trae Young. Springer, McDaniels, Niang, Danuel House Jr., Montrezl Harrell and others were terrific all night.
