NBA Twitter reacts to Charlotte’s 124-121 loss vs. Washington

The Hornets fell short on Monday as the Wizards outlasted them down the stretch.

The Charlotte Hornets fell to the Washington Wizards on Monday night on the road, 124-121.

The Wizards jumped out to a 13-point lead after the first 12 minutes but the Hornets bounced back, outscoring the Wizards 39-18 in the second to take a lead into halftime. But ultimately, the Wizards outscored the Hornets 40-31 in the fourth quarter to jump ahead and clinch the victory.

Gordon Hayward led the way for the Hornets with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals on 11-of-22 shooting.

Miles Bridges notched another double-double, finishing with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals on 10-of-19 shooting.

Terry Rozier finished with 25 points, 5 assists, 3 assists, and 3 steals on 9-of-17 shooting from the field and 5-of-9 from downtown.
