The league is targeting some of the best players to participate in an NBA 2K20 tournament that will feature a representative from each team.

The NBA will reportedly host a players-only NBA 2K20 tournament with a representative from each team set to participate, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The NBA is set to invite some of the top names in the league to play in the tournament, which they hope to launch on Friday. The league is still finalizing the details of the tournament but it is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN.

Several players from around the NBA have linked up to stream NBA 2K20 games on Twitch in the days since the regular season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. On Friday, Matisse Thybulle and Mikal Bridges played a friendly matchup with Bridges emerging victorious.

The NBA has put forth several programs to help keep fans entertained during the coronavirus outbreak.

The league recently launched “NBA Together,” a leaguewide, global community outreach and social engagement campaign to provide families, fans and the general public with the latest global health and safety information.
