Shams Charania has built an incredible career by being one of the biggest news breakers in the NBA media world.
But on Monday night he shifted gears a bit and randomly dropped some big NFL news on Twitter, as he was the first to report that Jameis Winston and the New Orleans Saints had agreed to a new deal.
This report by the NBA guy really came out of nowhere on a day that we saw so many breaking news tweets from NFL reporters.
And you know what? It was pretty funny to see.
This was his tweet on the Winston news:
Breaking NFL Free Agency news: Free agent QB Jameis Winston has agreed to a deal to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints, per sources.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport had a funny response to it:
Stick to basketball. But yes, this is true. Jameis back to the #Saints. https://t.co/4ABUlmg45p

Here’s more on the deal, from another NFL insider:
Jameis Winston's one-year deal with the #Saints has a base value of $5.5 million guaranteed. He can earn more through incentives.
