NBA Finals: Heat will be without Adebayo and Dragic in Game 3 vs. Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers will once again face off against a short-handed Miami Heat team in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

After the Los Angeles Lakers went through a gauntlet of Western Conference teams, their opponents in the 2020 NBA Finals are once again hampered by injury heading into a crucial Game 3. The Miami Heat announced on Sunday afternoon, about two hours before Game 3 of the 2020 NBA Finals, that they will be without All-Star center Bam Adebayo and starting guard Goran Dragic as they look to get on the board in the NBA Finals with the Lakers holding a 2-0 lead. No team has ever come back to win a playoff series when down 3-0 in NBA History, so the importance of tonight’s game is paramount for both sides.

The Heat played a much tougher game in Game 2 against the Lakers. The Heat were only outrebounded by 7 after being outrebounded by 18 in Game 1. Without Adebayo, their work is going to be cut out for them. If the Heat are going to avoid a dooming 3-0 deficit, they will need an even stronger effort in Game 3 without two key players.
