For the second straight season, the Milwaukee Bucks went into the playoffs with the NBA’s best record and went home with nothing to show for it.
With last season’s playoff letdown in mind, you would probably think that the team’s Twitter account would have the forethought to avoid the kind of social-media trash talk that can backfire with anything short of a Bucks championship.
Because, after all, NBA fans don’t forget.
Well, back in December, the Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and celebrated that win by trying to go all ColdTakesExposed on Twitter. They tweeted a screenshot from the Lakers’ preseason win over the Warriors and used that as a jab at the Lakers.
Was this just for preseason?

So, when the Bucks were eliminated following Tuesday’s Game 5 loss to the Heat, NBA fans were quick to dig up the tweet and remind the Bucks of their overconfidence.
