James Harden is going to want to forget all about Monday’s home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder because man, was it an ugly night for the former NBA MVP.
Not only did the Rockets cough up a 17-point lead, but Harden went an extremely woeful 1-for-17 from 3-point land. That ties him for the most missed threes in a game in NBA history… for THIRD time in his career.
Yikes.
Harden still finished the game, which Houston lost 112-107, with 29 points but it was far from an impressive night for defending scoring champ.
It was so bad that Harden went back out on the court afterward to try to figure out what was wrong with his shot.
Check this out:

Harden had this to say about the game and his performance:
James Harden on how the tough stretch has impacted the psyche of the team:
"It hasn't. I mean it's tough, especially games like tonight or even the Laker game. You're playing well, playing well, and then stop doing the things that get us the lead…" pic.twitter.com/Zs5QvGhyqc

NBA fans had fun ripping Harden for such a bad game:
The biggest issue in Houston is lack of accountability. There's no one to tell James Harden to try something else when something isn't working.
Chris Paul tried, and he was traded.
Kevin McHale tried, and he was fired.

I’ve defended James Harden forever & seen what he’s capable of at his best. But this recent stretch of awful play has legitimately made me question his heart and hunger to win.
I hate dipping into cliches, but I try harder than him at my Sunday pickup game. This is unacceptable.

This is why I find James Harden so annoying to watch 🤦🏽♂️
10 of his 29 pts were free throws, which he shot 11 more than anyone else in his team.
He missed 16 3 pt attempts. If he passes up three of those Houston has a chance to win. He just doesn’t play winning/team ball smh— Marcus Trevino (@MarcusTrevinoSA) January 21, 2020
