The Boston Celtics made the trip to the Manhattan Mecca that is the Madison Square Garden home of the New York Knicks to play the second half of a back-to-back without big man Al Horford, taking the night off while resting a stiff back. Boston had no issues sans the Florida alum with a record-setting night from beyond the arc for the Celtics, who shot 27-of-51 from deep against the Knicks on Saturday night.
It was enough to overcome New York’s dominance on the boards and hand the team a 133-118 victory, and Boston making each and every one of their dozen attempts at the charity stripe did not hurt either.
