Navy head coach Brian Newberry has high praise for Notre Dame ahead of this weekends game

Newberry knows its going to be difficult to defeat the Irish

There is some considerable buildup to Notre Dame football’s contest this weekend against Navy.

Both teams are ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll, as it is one of many games across the country that features two top-25 teams. With said hype, Navy head coach [autotag]Brian Newberry[/autotag] joined ESPN to talk about Saturday afternoon’s matchup and gave the Irish some big-time praise.

He compared Notre Dame to an NFL team, saying that they look the part and are “super talented.” Newberry seems to know that from a skill standpoint, the Irish have a distinct advantage against his team.

Navy has yet to be challenged this year, as every single one of its wins this fall have been double-digit victories. The Irish suffered a loss during Week 2 against Northern Illinois, but has solid wins over currently ranked Texas A&M and previously ranked Louisville.

Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. EST, so we won’t have to wait long on Saturday to see the two teams getting after it.
