Nation’s No. 1 prospect has USC Trojans listed among his top-7

Korey Foreman, a defensive end out of Corona, California, listed the USC Trojans among his top-7 schools on Wednesday evening.

The USC Trojans already have one of the best recruiting classes in the 2021 period. However, they could catapult into the top-3, or even top of the NCAA, if they can land the No. 1 overall recruit in the country, defensive end Korey Foreman.

USC got one step closer to that coming true after Foreman released his top-7 on Wednesday evening. The list included USC, as well as LSU, Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, Georgia and Howard, an HBCU in Washington D.C. which recently netted a big time college basketball recruit in Makur Maker.

Foreman has long been projected to join the Trojans, with 247Sports’ crystal ball projections predicting USC at 88.7%.

The big defensive end from Corona, California was a commit to Clemson back in the day, but reopened his recruitment and has seen a huge push from coach Clay Helton and the Trojans.

“Man, USC is coming really hard right now,” Foreman said. “They might be recruiting me harder then anyone and I’m talking to the whole staff including Clay Helton, the head man himself. I talk with coach (Vic) So’oto, coach Donte (Williams), coach (Todd) Orlando, man it’s everyone. USC is my hometown team and staying local is always going to be a great option. My parents aren’t really pushing me that hard to stay home but my dad is a city guy so I think he would like it if I did.”

Foreman dealt with knee issues in high school, perhaps his only red flag, but he easily possesses the upside to be an impact performer for three years before likely landing himself in the first round of the NFL draft.
