Nate Oats set to receive multi-year contract extension through 2028-2029 season

Alabama men’s basketball coach Nate Oats earns an extension and an increase in pay!

The Alabama Crimson Tide have made it a top priority to keep men’s basketball coach Nate Oats in Tuscaloosa for the foreseeable future, and today they did just that. Oats and the Tide agreed to a multi-year extension that will last through the 2028-2029 season and be worth over $4 million a year.

Oats has been incredible through three and a half seasons including a regular season SEC championship as well as a conference tournament championship. He was also the 2021 SEC coach of the year.

This season, the Tide are 19-3 and coming off a 57-point victory over Vanderbilt. Alabama is ranked No. 4 in the country and is projected to be a one-seed in March Madness.
