NASCAR Xfinity Series features stacked field for race at Charlotte in 2024

The NASCAR Xfinity Series has a stacked field for the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Check out why this will be a special NASCAR event!

The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway is one of the most anticipated races of the 2024 season. Outside of the actual racing that puts on a show, there is a stacked field after an update to the entry list. Joe Gibbs Racing has put Ty Gibbs in the No. 20 Xfinity car instead of Aric Almirola, who was previously listed as the entry.

Gibbs joins a growing list of NASCAR Cup Series drivers in the field, alongside Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports), Kyle Busch (Richard Childress Racing), and Noah Gragson (Rette Jones Racing). Four Cup Series regulars are vying for the unique BetMGM Slot Machine trophy in the BetMGM 300 on Saturday afternoon.

This doesn’t even include the Xfinity Series regulars who used to drive in the Cup Series, such as Cole Custer, A.J. Allmendinger, and Justin Allgaier. This weekend’s race at Charlotte is expected to be big, and the winner will take home a sweet trophy. It’ll be fascinating to see if one of the Xfinity Series regulars can take down the giants from the Cup Series.
