NASCAR rumored to race in Southern California at ‘undetermined’ track

NASCAR is rumored to race in Southern California at a track ‘yet to be determined’ as the Los Angeles Coliseum’s future remains in doubt.

NASCAR’s presence in Southern California has become murky over the last year. Auto Club Speedway is no longer on the schedule, as the 2-mile venue is supposed to become a short track. Meanwhile, the Busch Light Clash might leave Los Angeles for a new location in 2025. However, will NASCAR be away from Southern California for good?

According to FOX’s Chris Myers, people should expect NASCAR to race in Southern California at a track “yet to be determined” in the near future. Myers also said not to expect racing at the Los Angeles Coliseum, so it appears that is out the window. Recently, NASCAR was linked to Dodger Stadium for a potential Cup Series event.

If not the Los Angeles Coliseum, where else could NASCAR possibly compete? Dodger Stadium is one option, while other tracks in the area may need some renovation to make it reasonable for the Cup Series. It will be interesting to see if Myers’ statement becomes accurate, and if so, where in Southern California?
