NASCAR faces weather problems ahead of the 2024 Busch Light Clash

NASCAR faces weather problems ahead of the 2024 Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum. Find out the latest on this weekend’s projected forecast.

The 2024 NASCAR season is just around the corner as the Cup Series heads to Los Angeles, California, for the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum. It marks the first unofficial race of the new campaign, as points do not count toward the regular season. However, NASCAR is already facing a weather problem heading into the new year.

According to Weather.com, Los Angeles, California, is projected to get one inch of rain during the day on Sunday and one to two inches at night. NASCAR can race with wet weather tires at the Busch Light Clash; however, they can’t compete in the rain as the cars don’t have wipers, rain flaps, or lights for short tracks in 2024. The tires are used for damp conditions.

Therefore, NASCAR has to hope for the rain to stop. The sport can stay extra days, but the forecast looks rough. Monday is projected to have around 1.5 inches of rain, while Tuesday is projected for one inch. Obviously, the forecast can change, but NASCAR may have to wait a little bit for the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum to be underway.
