NASCAR expects two international races in 2025, rumored in Canada and Mexico

NASCAR expects to have two international races during the 2025 season, rumored to be in Canada and Mexico. Find out what NASCAR had to say!

NASCAR started the 2024 season in Los Angeles, California, but had to make a significant schedule adjustment after rain impacted the weekend. Then, the same happened in Daytona Beach, Florida, as the Daytona 500 was pushed back to Monday evening. During the FOX Sports coverage on Sunday, NASCAR president Steve Phelps was open about the upcoming schedule adjustments, not for 2024, but for 2025.

Could the NASCAR Cup Series be racing internationally starting in 2025? According to Phelps, this is something that NASCAR expects to happen, and it would drastically increase the sport’s reach to new race fans worldwide.

“I have nothing to announce today, but I would be surprised next year from the 2025 schedule if we didn’t go north of the border and we didn’t go south of the border,” Phelps said on FOX.

NASCAR is reportedly looking to take the Busch Light Clash to Mexico and almost struck a deal to bring the Cup Series to Montreal, Canada, this season. Based on Phelps’ comments and those reports, NASCAR appears committed to racing in Canada and Mexico. It would be a massive addition to the schedule and one that excites many people around the sport.
