NASCAR drivers to face massive challenge due to weather at Texas

NASCAR Cup Series drivers are set to face a big challenge on Sunday afternoon due to the weather at Texas Motor Speedway.

NASCAR is heading to Texas Motor Speedway as the Cup and Xfinity Series tackle their respective races in the Round of 12. It is set to be a fun weekend of racing as last season’s races displayed chaos and unpredictability across all series. However, there will be another major challenge at Texas during the 2023 NASCAR season this around.

According to Weather.com, the Xfinity Series race will have a high of 98° on Saturday and the Cup Series race will have a high of 99° on Sunday. It is going to be a blistering hot weekend and that makes the drivers’ preparation for the races more difficult. In fact, these would be some of the hottest race-time temperatures on record, which could produce more on-track mistakes.

There is supposed to be weather in the area on Sunday afternoon as thunderstorms are currently labeled as “likely” in the evening hours. Hopefully, NASCAR will be able to get the races in at their respective times after dealing with weather issues at Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend.
