NASCAR driver arrested, suspended indefinitely in April 2024

According to the sport, the Cornelius Police Department arrested Gaulding on misdemeanor domestic violence charges. The NASCAR driver was released later on Tuesday afternoon.

Gaulding hasn’t competed in NASCAR during the 2024 season, with his last start coming in the Xfinity Series at Daytona International Speedway in August 2023. The 26-year-old driver has also made 60 starts in the Cup Series from 2016 to 2023, with his last start coming at World Wide Technology Raceway in June 2023.

Over his 158 starts in NASCAR’s top-3 levels, he has yet to find victory lane and has a combined 11 top-10 finishes. Gaulding’s last win came in the now-ARCA Menards Series West at Phoenix Raceway in 2013. For now, after his arrest on Tuesday morning, Gaulding will be barred from competing in any of these NASCAR series.
