NASCAR Cup Series officially sets Championship 4 for Phoenix in 2023

The NASCAR Cup Series has officially set the Championship 4 for Phoenix Raceway during the 2023 season. Check out the details!

The NASCAR Cup Series entered Martinsville Speedway with the goal of setting the Championship 4 and that has officially been completed. Entering the event, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell were the only two drivers locked into a spot due to their wins in the Round of 8; however, Ryan Blaney joined him at Martinsville by winning the race with a comfortable margin.

As for the remaining spot on points, William Byron has clinched a spot in the Championship 4. Most notably, Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. were eliminated in the Round of 8 after their issues at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Finally, Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher simply didn’t have enough speed over the last three races to have a shot.

Truex, the driver of the No. 19 car, was the regular season champion but will not be able to compete for the official Cup Series title.

The following drivers will compete for a Cup Series championship in 2023.
