Myles Garrett releases heartfelt statement regarding the death of Texas A&M DE Coach, Terry Price

Terry Prices’ death impacted the entire Aggie community, including former Texas A&M defensive end and Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett, who recently released a heartfelt tribute.

Texas A&M lost one of the best coaches and role models the college football community had to offer on Friday, as long-time Defensive ends coach Terry Price tragically passed away at 55 due to complications from Stage IV cancer, leading to nearly every coach and former Aggie football player who had the chance to work paid tribute to the man who many called TP.

On Saturday, former Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, who is currently one of the faces of the NFL as a star pass rusher for the Cleveland Browns, sent out a tweet to not only mourn the passing of his coach but remember the man that taught him everything else outside the game, helping mold him into the man he is today.

“I truly cannot express the impact this man made in my life. Not only as an athlete but more importantly as a man, brother, and son. From his commitment to God, to grilling and mentorship, he embodied everything a great man should be. My family and I will always miss his presence.”

Garrett, who was ranked as the No.2 player in the 2014 recruiting class, chose A&M not only because of his family connection, as his sister Brea won a 2014 NCAA indoor championship in the weight throw as a junior with the Aggies, but his instant connection with Terry Price, choosing to stay through this junior season to soak up as much football, and life knowledge as possible.

Please Keep the Price Family in your thoughts and prayers, including Terry’s wife, Kenya, and sons Devin and Alex, as we continue to celebrate the life of one of the most authentic human beings this world has come to know. Gig ’em forever.
