Myles Garrett opens up on missing first drive vs. Saints

Myles Garrett opens up about the opening drive against the Saints

The Cleveland Browns were not able to pull out a win against the New Orleans Saints on Christmas Eve, and one of the biggest storylines was the absence of Pro Bowl pass rusher Myles Garrett on the opening drive of the game. It came out later in the week that Garrett missed the drive due to an incident earlier in the week where he missed practice due to an illness, but did not communicate his absence to the team.

Asked about the situation today, Garrett stated:

“I respect [head coach Kevin Stefanski’s] decision… I think it was a misunderstanding at the end of the day. That is how it went down. Have to respect how he feels about the situation and his judgment… It was the first time with something like this. I don’t foresee anything like this happening again.”
