Two days after meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL brass in New York, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been officially reinstated by the league. His indefinite suspension is over, and Garrett has rejoined the Browns active roster.

The team and the NFL jointly announced the move on Wednesday, less than 48 hours after Garrett plead his case to have the suspension lifted.
“We welcome Myles back to our organization with open arms,” said Browns GM Andrew Berry in a prepared statement. “We know he is grateful to be reinstated, eager to put the past behind him and continue to evolve and grow as a leader. We look forward to having his strong positive presence back as a teammate, player and person in our community.”
Garrett was suspended indefinitely and at minimum for the remainder of the 2019 season after his role in a brawl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in a primetime game in November. His initial appeal was denied.
Garrett has been quiet and out of the spotlight since his suspension. His track record of good behavior and sincerity of apology likely helped his case.
