Hey you:
I was going through something just a minute ago I glanced up and realized that I had just completed my 999th post here at Fighting Irish Wire. So basic math tells us that would make this my 1000th post on this site.
It has gone by incredibly fast as I’ve learned a lot of what goes into a site like this on the fly.
I started this thinking it would be a fun little side project as a contributor that might get me a couple extra bucks a month back in October but due to some unforeseen events I wound up taking over the whole site instead of just contributing.
It’s been a learning experience and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it and have been lucky to get some great help from both Mike and Geoffrey here am excited for where this may all go.
Life has changed a ton since I started managing here at Fighting Irish Wire. I ran a marathon, became a father and have lived through a pandemic that has changed all of our lives an incredible amount.
I’m excited for what has happened in the first 1000 posts that took under nine months to create and promise that my next 1000 will be even better.
So a little bit of a pat on the back to myself I suppose but much more importantly, a big thank you to all of you for helping make this outlet work.
Here’s to 1000 more.
And at least 1000 more after that.
