Multiple 2024 Aggie commits rise in On3’s updated On300 rankings

Two 2024 Texas A&M commits, including five-star WR Cam Coleman and five-star OT Weston Davis, have risen in On3’s updated On300 rankings.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is borderline elite from a talent perspective, and even though several of the committed prospects possess the pedigree to represent the class, five-star wide receiver Cameron “Cam” Coleman and now five-star rated offensive tackle Weston Davis look to contribute on offense as soon as they step on campus in 2024.

Already excelling in their respective senior high school seasons, both players have now risen in On3’s newest On300 rankings, starting with Cameron Coleman’s notable rise from the No.12 spot to his current 5th-ranking as second-ranked wide receiver prospect in the cycle behind Ohio State commit Jeremiah Smith and the No.1-ranked player in Alabama.

Weston Davis’ meteoric rise has got to be exciting for Jimbo Fisher and his staff, soaring 75 spots from his previous 93 ranking to 18th in the class, ranked as the No.3 offensive tackle prospect, and the fourth-ranked player in Texas.

These rankings are fluid and will likely change again before National Signing Day in February, but let me make one thing clear regarding Coleman and Davis’s trajectory to sign the dotted line with the Maroon and White: Texas A&M’s 2023 offense, which has so far been one of the more productive units in the country behind sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, and to keep Coleman and Davis excited to join the party eventually, success on the field must reach a state of consistency.

Texas A&M will host the Auburn Tigers at Kyle Field on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 11:00 a.m., where it will air on ESPN.
