On Tuesday, March 10, it was officially announced that the New York Rangers have signed Michigan State senior forward Patrick Khodorenko to an entry-level contract. Khodorenko’s deal starts in the 2020-21 season and he will immediately join the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League on an Amateur Try-Out.
Khodorenko led the Spartans in scoring in 2019-20 with 33 points (16 goals). Khodorenko, who is from Walnut Creek, California, led the Big Ten in goals in conference games with 13 and was fourth in Big Ten scoring with 22 points in conference play.
Patrick Khodorenko ended his career with MSU with 120 points on 54 goals and 66 assists. This is the eighth-most in the history of the program since the year 2000.
Khodorenko was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and made All-Big Ten Second Team last season.
