Michigan State hockey was off this past weekend but they still saw some movement in the latest USCHO.com poll.
The Spartans dropped one spot in the updated poll released on Monday, with Michigan State coming in at No. 4. The Spartans have been No. 4 every week except this most recent when they moved up to No. 3.
Michigan State is 5-1 overall this year, and will open conference play this week in a two-game tilt against Ohio State.
The Spartans are one of six teams from the Big Ten in this week’s poll. Minnesota is now the highest-ranked Big Ten team at No. 3, with Michigan (No. 7), Ohio State (No. 13), Penn State (No. 19) and Notre Dame (No. 20) following.
