For the first time this year, Michigan State will not be kicking off your football Saturday in the noon time slot.
Kickoff between the Spartans and undefeated No. 13 Northwestern Wildcats will be at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday (Nov. 28). The game will be televised on ESPN2. This will mark the first non-noon kickoff for the Spartans this season.

MSU’s match-up this past Saturday against Maryland was canceled after a COVID-19 outbreak hit the Terps. The Spartans are 1-3 on the season and enter next’s week match-up on a two-game losing streak.
Northwestern on the other hand is a perfect 5-0 this year following Saturday’s 17-7 victory over then-No. 12 Wisconsin. The Wildcats will be the second straight ranked opponent MSU has played, and the third on the season.
Michigan State basketball is also scheduled to play on Saturday against Notre Dame. Tip-off for that game is listed as either 6 p.m. EST or 8 p.m. EST so there’s a chance there will be a football and basketball game going on at the same time this upcoming Saturday. Don’t be surprised, however, if the basketball game is pushed to 8 p.m. EST to avoid competing against the football game for viewers.
